VITO participated in the 9th Biorizon annual event

Last Thursday, 1 December 2022, our partner VITO, as one of the Biorizon Initiators, participated in the 9th annual event on the Biorizon.

Biorizon is the most advanced worldwide program on bio-aromatics production from residual biomass. Biorizon is a research center located at the Green Chemistry Campus in Bergen op Zoom (Belgium), and it is co-initiated by TNO and VITO. Since 2013, an annual event has been organized to attract global leaders in the field of bio-based aromatics.

The event was online, and our VITO representative, Dr. Karolien Vanbroekhoven, presented part of their work on depolymerized lignin related to the LIGNICOAT project within the presentation titled “Lignin-based bio-aromatic applications”. VITO is collaborating with Westlake Epoxy (LIGNICOAT partner) in the field of epoxies for coatings.

The webinar was recorded, and it is available on YouTube. To watch VITO’s presentation on LIGNICOAT, click here.
