LIGNICOAT Project Final M42 Meeting in San Sebastián

The final M42 LIGNICOAT project meeting will be held in San Sebastián, Spain, from November 19 to 20, 2024. It will last two days and be hosted by TECNALIA, the project coordinator.

On the first day, the Consortium will have a guided tour of TECNALIA’s facilities in Azpeitia (Spain).

The afternoon will include a session on the work package (WP) related to management led by TECNALIA, followed by a discussion on the WP related to dissemination and exploitation to review the main performance of our communication and dissemination strategies. We will also review the market analysis and individual business plans for the different lignin-based products developed within the project and associated with specific key exploitable results (KERs).

On November 20th, the meeting’s focus will shift to WP4—Biocoatings formulation. Presenters from TECNALIA, IRIS, BARPIMO, and AEP will share their findings on the various developed lignin-based coatings for wood and metal with fire resistance, anticorrosion, and antimicrobial/antiviral performances for multiple purposes such as construction, automotive, and industrial.

From 11:30, the ARDITEC Association will present on WP5—Sustainability assessment, where we will review the environmental, economic, and social assessments of our various developed resins and coatings.

We will conclude with a workshop on UN-SDGs led by ARDITEC to consider how our project contributed to broader sustainability objectives.

Finally, we will wrap up with concluding remarks and discuss the next steps before finalizing the project and conducting the final review.
