We are thrilled to announce that we have joined the ExpandFibre Ecosystem!

This milestone underscores our commitment to advancing sustainable solutions within the coatings industry. By joining forces with ExpandFibre, we align our innovative work on lignin-derived bioresins with a broader initiative focused on accelerating the development of bio-based products from wood and straw.

The ExpandFibre Ecosystem, coordinated by Metsä Group and Fortum, is dedicated to fostering collaboration and innovation across the bio-based value chain. This partnership offers us invaluable opportunities to connect with leading industry and research partners, access new business prospects, and contribute to the development of sustainable bioproducts.

Dr. Michele Ponzelli (AXIA Innovation GmbH), leading our dissemination and communication efforts, highlights that LIGNICOAT’s goals perfectly complement the objectives of the ExpandFibre Ecosystem. Together, we aim to boost the transition from petrochemical to bio-based products, ensuring high performance while reducing environmental impact.
