LIGNICOAT at London Build Expo 2024

Our partner IRIS Coatings, made a significant impact at the recently concluded London Build Expo 2024, the UK’s leading and largest construction show. This prestigious event, which attracted over 35,000 attendees and featured 450+ exhibitors, provided an excellent platform for LIGNICOAT to showcase our work in bio-based fire protection coatings for wood.

IRIS Coatings, the task leader behind the development of our polyurethane bio-based coating for fire protection of wood, represented LIGNICOAT with a dedicated booth at the expo. The team engaged with industry professionals, distributing informative flyers and providing in-depth insights into LIGNICOAT’s ongoing research and development efforts.

Visitors to the IRIS Coatings booth learned about our innovative bio-based lignin coatings, specifically designed for fire protection of wood. These innovative coatings have successfully met the stringent Euroclass classification standards, demonstrating their effectiveness and reliability in enhancing fire safety.

In addition, IRIS Coatings also presented related intumescent coatings, showcasing the comprehensive range of fire protection technologies developed through the LIGNICOAT project.
