Join the Open Innovation Workshop: LCA for Sustainable Bio-Based Product Development

The LIGNICOAT project is excited to announce an upcoming open innovation workshop organized by the BIORING and SUPERBARK projects. This online event, titled “Anticipatory LCA to Promote Informed Decision-Making,” will take place on December 4, 2024, from 11:00 to 13:00. The workshop will focus on the application of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) in the development of bio-based materials and products.

Workshop Highlights

  • Expert Presentations: The workshop will feature presentations from leading experts in material science, safety and sustainability assessment, and LCA modeling. Our LCA partner, ARDITEC ASSOCIATION, will also present insights gained from the LIGNICOAT project.
  • Interactive Discussions: Attendees will engage in discussions on critical topics such as data collection for novel biobased products, assumptions in scaling from lab to industrial applications, and using LCA results for informed decision-making.
  • Knowledge Exchange: This event provides a platform for research and industry experts to exchange knowledge, helping accelerate the development of sustainable bio-coatings.

Why Attend?

Although the LIGNICOAT project has concluded, its findings remain invaluable. Other CBE-JU funded projects can utilize these results to build capacity and further advance sustainable practices in the bio-based industry. This workshop is an excellent opportunity for stakeholders to learn how these insights can be applied to ongoing and future projects.
