New Video Teaser: Discover LIGNICOAT’s Innovative Bio-Coatings!

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our latest video teaser, showcasing our advancements in bio-coatings developed by the LIGNICOAT project. This short yet informative video provides a glimpse into the future of sustainable coatings, highlighting our innovative solutions for wood and metal substrates.

What You Will Discover

In this teaser, viewers will get an inside look at our lignin-based bio-coatings created through our collaborative efforts with partners such as TECNALIA, IRIS Coatings, ECOAT and BARPIMO. The video features:

  • Wood Substrates: Featuring durable alkyd polyurethane dispersions (PUD) based on lignin polyols and fractionated kraft lignin, these formulations include options with fire retardant additives to enhance safety.
  • Metal Substrates: Lignin-based alkyd bio-formulations for anticorrosion, tested under real-world conditions such as humidity and salt spray.

Why It Matters

The LIGNICOAT project is at the forefront of promoting sustainable and eco-friendly solutions within the coatings industry. Our lignin-based coatings are not only lower in toxicity, but they also offer significant benefits for industries where environmental impact is a crucial consideration. These industries include packaging, construction, and automotive sectors, among others.
