LIGNICOAT Presents at the Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference 2024

Our project coordinator, TECNALIA, showcased our LIGNICOAT solutions at the Nordic Wood Biorefinery Conference 2024, held on October 15- 17 in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The conference attracted a significant audience of approximately 200 attendees, representing a diverse range of stakeholders within the biorefinery sector. This included scientific community members, industry representatives and their customers, and potential investors.

The poster, titled “Phosphorylated Kraft lignin derivative in PU coating for wood and effects on fire reaction, ” was presented during the Bio-based Materials session on Tuesday, October 15th. It showed a synthetic route to produce fire-retardant lignin and promising results in the fire-retardant polyols for polyurethane dispersion (PU) coatings and foams.
