LIGNICOAT at Safety Expo 2024: Showcasing Innovation in Fire-Resistant Bio-based Formulations

IRIS COATINGS, a key partner in the LIGNICOAT project, made a notable presence at the Safety Expo held on 18-19 September 2024 in Bergamo, Italy. The event, dedicated to workplace safety and fire prevention, drew over 4,390 attendees.

IRIS COATINGS booth attracted significant interest, with visitors eager to learn about the innovative bio-based formulations developed within the LIGNICOAT project and their fire-resistant properties.

Throughout the event, IRIS COATINGS distributed informative flyers detailing the benefits and applications of these sustainable coatings. The booth experienced a steady flow of visitors, all keen to explore the potential of bio-based solutions in enhancing fire safety and sustainability.

The LIGNICOAT project aims to demonstrate the technical and economic feasibility of using lignin as a raw material to produce bio-resins for functional and sustainable coatings. The project’s focus on improving fire, corrosion, and biological resistance aligns perfectly with the themes of the Safety Expo, making it a highlight of the event.
