VITO’s participation in the Lignin GRC

The Lignin Gordon Research Conference (GRC) was held at Stonehill College from July 31 to August 5, 2022 (Easton, MA, USA). The GRC is a worldwide renowned conference with annual recurrence.

The theme of this year’s conference was “Realizing Lignin’s Potential in Biorefining by Bridging Plant Biology, Chemistry, and Engineering”.

The Lignin GRC brought together plant researchers, microbiologists, chemists, engineers, and material scientists to explore lignin in all its forms, including characterization, plant engineering, utilization, depolymerization, and upgrading.

On Wednesday, August 3, Mr. Jaime Gracia Vitoria (representing VITO) gave a talk titled “Aromatics on the Horizon”, which included a presentation with LIGNICOAT project findings. Check out the event’s website: https://www.grc.org/lignin-conference/2022/
